The Importance of Financial Clarity

“we’re told to save our money, but for what? what am I saving for?WHAT GOALS SHOULD i HAVE?”

When Peter Kash asked me that question in a recent interview on Flow 93.5, I wasn’t really surprised.

Why?

Because it’s a question I’ve heard before. How do you know how to save and what to save, if you don't even know what you’re saving for?

Now let’s take that and add on the idea that maybe you don’t even know how much you CAN save.

If you don’t know what your bank account looks like, where your money is being spent and talking about money is just scary and shameful, you’ll never be in a position to answer any of those questions. That is why financial clarity is so important to have.

You need to know how you got into your current financial situation AND where your money is going.

I have spent the last few months working 1:1 with Blake Carter, former Morning Show Host on  Flow 93.5 and when we first started, she admitted that money was just “not her thing.” And it wasn’t her thing because she was in denial about where it was going and had constant shame around the debt she had.

It’s so important to know that you should never feel ashamed for not knowing about money and money management. There is an expectation that we should know about money even though we were never taught about it!

But regardless of your current situation, fundamentals of money can be taught and I teach them without making you feel shame or fear.
